So I finally saw Dark Knight Rises. As said above, it was a good cop movie. But I didn’t think it was a good Batman movie. It went against so many things that make Batman Batman, it makes you wonder if the people involved know anything at all about the character. I was most interested in Bane. I wish he was in the movie more. Anne Hathaway was really good, and made me want a solo Catwoman movie for her.

Although they never did say “Catwoman,” did they? I guess that would be too silly? Scarecrow, Joker, Batman, all acceptable things. Catwoman? That’s crazy talk! And the “reveal” at the end? That was just plain retarded. It was completely unnecessary And was just one moment away from JGL turning toward the camera and going “Get it? Eh? EH?”

So yeah. In a year that saw both The Avengers and Dark Knight Rises come out, is it strange that my favorite comic book movie of the year was Dredd? Cause that movie fucking rules.

Also, I’ve used this joke more than once and it generally gets this same reaction. I feel like it deserves something better!

As demanded by no one, here’s this week’s comic!

I’d try the AC/DC wine, but I know I would not like it. I’ve only tried one kind of wine…I don’t remember what kind it was, but I’d rather just drink juice.

Man, if I had a nickel for every time two people (or more!) in this group of ours had simultaneous thinking, I’d have a shitload of nickels because it happens all the god damn time.  It could mean that we have similar mindsets, but I think it’s more that there’s like eleven people that share the same brain.  

And boy, I do love me some one beat, no dialogue panels in comics, huh? There’s probably a lot of em if you go through Egomaniac and the Think Tanks I wrote.

Sara was drinking the Twisted Tea, which was pretty good. We’ve since discovered it comes in peach and raspberry. But I’m not  a person who will drink to get drunk, so I’ll just stick with regular tea. If someone offers me some twisted, I’ll definitely give it a shot though!

Sweetened black tea is my go to drink. If there’s peach or mango, I’m gonna get that. Lately I’ve been all about vanilla chai. Basically what I am saying is that I really like drinking tea, haha.

Back to business, folks! Vacation’s over. That’s the worst part about vacations; they all have to end eventually.

Buffalo Wild Wings was indeed closed for a couple weeks, so we just spent it at Jeff’s house. In case you are wondering, we ended up having pizza.

The remodel is definitely complete, so this is the last comic that you get to see these BWW backgrounds on. I hope you enjoyed them, cause I doubt they will unremodel and go back to their old look!

The comic ended after the Asgard line, but the conversation continued for like five more minutes. I feel like it ended with one of us just yelling “FROST GIANTS!” 

As it goes on and on the puns get worse and less coherent, I suppose.

But yeah, Thor was great. I liked Captain America more, but hey, we all know I’m biased. It’s kinda funny how the timing worked on this one, with the Avengers coming out in a couple days, and also with me knowing what the next comic up is.

Egomaniac: Accidentally topical, sometimes!

If you’ve played Sonic, you know exactly what song I am talking about. If you have never (for some reason) played Sonic, what the hell man? I thought we were cool. But for your education, this is the music I am talking about.

I don’t think anyone who is a pretty heavy gamer doesn’t get a panic attack on hearing that music.

I gotta say, as a group, we tend to be pretty blood thirsty. Say one thing wrong or make one little slip up and you will not hear the end of it for a long time. Sara just happened to be the one on the receiving end this time, (and most times, really.)

This comic is realllllly dated for two reasons: My comic buffer tends to be pretty large, and this script sat around in my file for a long time before I actually drew it. I dunno why, I think the joke is solid. It just didn’t motivate me to draw it for quite a while, I guess!

Little known fact about Jenn: She loves SyFy Channel original monster movies. After she watched Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus her main complaint was the shark wasn’t mega enough. Whenever we see one at the store it instantly goes to the download list, errr, legally obtain list. Two headed shark attack? Yes please! 

And seriously, what would be scarier than a giant were wolfed out whale? I don’t know how it would get done, but I would watch that movie for sure.
