My name is Bob and I write and draw an autobiographical webcomic named Egomaniac. Because that's what the internet needs. More autobiographical webcomics. I've also been known to draw the occasional superhero. Even more than that you can expect wrestlers aaaand...well that's pretty much all I've got.
Jenn might be the most ticklish person ever. And the weird thing is it shifts sometimes. LIke, her right foot might be ticklish Monday, but not Tuesday. And then occasionally her neck will get in on the action. It’s fun for me, and i know Jenn just loves it.
So I finally saw Dark Knight Rises. As said above, it was a good cop movie. But I didn’t think it was a good Batman movie. It went against so many things that make Batman Batman, it makes you wonder if the people involved know anything at all about the character. I was most interested in Bane. I wish he was in the movie more. Anne Hathaway was really good, and made me want a solo Catwoman movie for her.
Although they never did say “Catwoman,” did they? I guess that would be too silly? Scarecrow, Joker, Batman, all acceptable things. Catwoman? That’s crazy talk! And the “reveal” at the end? That was just plain retarded. It was completely unnecessary And was just one moment away from JGL turning toward the camera and going “Get it? Eh? EH?”
So yeah. In a year that saw both The Avengers and Dark Knight Rises come out, is it strange that my favorite comic book movie of the year was Dredd? Cause that movie fucking rules.
Also, I’ve used this joke more than once and it generally gets this same reaction. I feel like it deserves something better!
As demanded by no one, here’s this week’s comic!
I’d try the AC/DC wine, but I know I would not like it. I’ve only tried one kind of wine…I don’t remember what kind it was, but I’d rather just drink juice.
I am certainly not a drinker. Up until maybe…two years ago? I had never even had any alcohol ever in my life. But I realized hey, why not try some new things? And so now I’m a taster. If you put something new in front of me I’m gonna try it. (And that led to one of the best things ever, Red Stag mixed with Cherry Coke/Dr. Pepper.) So when I saw Captain Morgan with lime, I figured, why not try it?
That might have been a mistake. On it’s own its awful. I figured Private Stock is pretty good, so this might be too! Nope. Not at all.
To say Jenn was proud of herself for that joke would be an understatement.
And in case you’re wondering, behind Jeff and Sara’s couch is where their guinea pigs and rabbit live, so that’s what Jenn was up to. She wasn’t lurking behind a couch waiting for the opportunity to tell that joke.
It’s true. We really do love to smoke. The best part about having three cigar smokers in a group is that when we smoke cigars, you get to try three different ones each time. Throw a hookah in there? You’ve got yourself a good night.
Wednesdays are when we all hang out, and it has become crappy movie night. So we smoke and watch shitty movies. In this comic, we’re watching the Brooke Hogan classic Two Headed Shark Attack. It’s the best movie I’ve ever seen about a shark with two heads.
Man, if I had a nickel for every time two people (or more!) in this group of ours had simultaneous thinking, I’d have a shitload of nickels because it happens all the god damn time. It could mean that we have similar mindsets, but I think it’s more that there’s like eleven people that share the same brain.
And boy, I do love me some one beat, no dialogue panels in comics, huh? There’s probably a lot of em if you go through Egomaniac and the Think Tanks I wrote.
There’s a new comic today about recognizing music and what Jenn thinks about that.
I think I’m gonna start linking to them here again instead of posting the comics here. Tumblr tends to resize images and my comics tend to be big so they never look quite right to me.
But who knows, I may change my mind next week anyhow.
Sara was drinking the Twisted Tea, which was pretty good. We’ve since discovered it comes in peach and raspberry. But I’m not a person who will drink to get drunk, so I’ll just stick with regular tea. If someone offers me some twisted, I’ll definitely give it a shot though!
Sweetened black tea is my go to drink. If there’s peach or mango, I’m gonna get that. Lately I’ve been all about vanilla chai. Basically what I am saying is that I really like drinking tea, haha.
